Gears of War

Tarik and I were playing Gears of War, fighting the last boss. Manny had just come home and was watching us play. The last boss in Gears of War is very difficult, because he has a bunch of bats shielding him, and like all great warriors, is able to send those bats out to kill you. We had died the first time facing him, but on the second time we weren't doing as badly, in fact, we were doing pretty good.

Manny, of course, was quick to point out the guns we were using wasn't doing anything to him. And it may have been true, I was using the standard machine gun instead of any special weapons. But Manny, always attentive and a great judge of the situation, said as we fought the boss "Can I make a suggestion?"

And literally, one second later, Tarik shot the boss in the head and we beat the game.
