We were all sitting in the living room, playing the Wii. Tarik and I had just beaten Streets of Rage 2, which is one of the great accomplishments anyone can achieve, and we were discussing other multiplayer games that could be purchased on the Virtual Console. When you purchase a game on the VC, the game titles show up inside little boxes on the Home Menu when you turn on the Wii. They are small, but they are still noticable and easy to read.
Since we had already beaten Streets of Rage, I was thinking of playing Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV, a multiplayer strategy game that came out for the SNES, and we were all discussing how time consuming and how much patience you need to play that game, because it's really slow. We were discussing this for a good five minutes.
Suddenly, Manny, who was sitting in a chair right next to the TV, looks at the screen and points at the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" box and says "What does that say?" Granted, he's looking at a small box on the TV, but he was right next to it, and while the letters were a little scrunched together, you could still see the "R" and the "IV" prominently. Tarik and I were on couch and we could tell what it said, especially since WE WERE JUST TALKING ABOUT THE GAME. Manny stared at the screen for two or three minutes asking "What does it say?" before I finally decided to tell him.
Minutes later, I logged into Wii Shop, because I wanted to see what games were out that I could buy. At the top of the screen it says "New Downloads", and under it there was a picture of Super Mario Bros. Manny, who watched me click into Wii Shop and knew that I was in there to purchase a new game, said "Cool, you bought Super Mario Bros!" I had to calmly explain to him (read: make fun of him) that I had just logged into Wii Shop and was going to buy a new game.
In other news, Manny dropped his Harry Potter book in the toilet. He says that he knocked over his glass of water, which is why the book was wet. He's probably telling the truth, because Manny is an honest person. So maybe I should believe...no, fuck it. He dropped the book in the toilet.
