Background check

I went into Manny's room today, and I noticed that he had changed the background on his computer. For the last two or three years, it had been a picture of Jessica Alba. Now it is some girl from Smallville, the girl who plays Lois. I noticed that the background was "tiled" instead of "Stretch" or "Center" and that annoys me, so I asked him why he had it set at "Tiled". Manny responded, "Oh, if I stretch or center it, then the image will be blurry." I thought to myself "Did he just click and save the thumbnail instead of clicking on the picture?" So I sat at his computer and told him that I'd be able to find a better picture. Manny's computer is ungodly old and slow, so it took a couple more seconds than I figured, but I was able to find a picture of the girl and save it as "Stretch" as his background.

And then the grilling began.

Tarik noticed that there was an apartment meeting in Manny's room, and watched as I went to work. He was informed of the situation, and then he asked out loud what I was thinking to myself "Wait, did you just see the thumbnail, and then saved that instead of clicking on the picture?" Manny just shrugged. I followed up with "Manny, you didn't notice that the little hand over the picture means that it's a link you can click on?" Manny just shrugged.

The apartment meeting was over, and I found out one thing I didn't know about Manny, but that I probably should've known, he still does not grasp basic elements of the internet, which has been around for over a decade.
